What is the SJB Club?
Are you tired of being in an endless number of clubs that don’t do much of anything? Are you ready to be a part of an exciting new club that means something, is going places, and will have a profound impact on your own future, as well as the future of millions of people all over the world? Do you want to help the millions of families affected by brain injury - the #1 cause of death and disability for children and young adults (up to age 25) in the United States?
Sarah Jane Brain Clubs can have up to eight Committees each: Prevention, Acute Care, Reintegration, Adult Transition, Mild TBI, Rural / Telehealth, The Virtual Center, and Legal / Advocacy.
Whether you want to be a doctor, nurse, lawyer, teacher, communicator, therapist, athlete, soldier, engineer or entertainer, there is something for each of these within the 8 Committees of the Sarah Jane Brain Club! You can be a part of as many Committees as you like!
The invaluable experience you will gain by participating in our Sarah Jane Brain Club will stick with you through college and into the career of your choice. It’s an opportunity to not only help children and young adults with brain injuries, but also to network with the “best and the brightest” – those already-established experts and well-known names in your future field!
Sarah Jane Brain Club members work with other SJB Clubs in high schools, colleges and universities nationwide, as well as the Sarah Jane Brain Foundation and its National Advisory Board, to help better prevent, identify and treat brain injuries. They collaborate with professionals in the field of Pediatric Acquired Brain Injury (PABI) across all seven Categories of Care as outlined in the National PABI Plan, as well as those in the legal community, in order to assist the millions of families in the United States affected by brain injury.
